Behavior’s Michael Surtees was sought out by AOL’s Switch.com for an exclusive interview for the new video series “Process Obstructed”. This unique and in-depth examination of how some of today’s best designers work within both digital and analog displays how the left brain works with the right in intertwining both analytical problem solving and striking aesthetics.
The goal of the design challenge was to create a weather app that works on multiple devices (Web, iPhone, BlackBerry and iPad) in just three hours. Michael utilized Twitter to delve into what people find useful in a weather app to ensure that his final masterpiece was not only functional but user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
Michael, having earned his way in the Design Media spotlight, contributes to his blog Design Notes and his long-running #walkingtoworktoday photo project, which invites participants to tweet interesting photos (posted to Flickr) from their daily commutes.
