From Analog to Digital: Smithsonian Brings the History of Voting Online

August 19th, 2004

Behavior designed and built the site to allow online visitors to experience the exhibition through an easy-to-use Flash-based interface, enabling them to freely explore the exhibition’s various themes and artifacts.

The online exhibition allows users to learn the historical significance of each of the exhibition’s over 100 artifacts, including the ability to zoom in and examine every item in great detail – just like visiting the museum in person.

The site also features a detailed, interactive map of the United States, illustrating the type of voting equipment used in each of America’s over 3,141 counties. Users can learn exactly how their county fits into “America’s Voting Patchwork.”

Behavior is incredibly excited about this project. We see it as a valuable, ongoing resource that will allow visitors to continually experience this wealth of information through the campaign season and beyond.

Visit the Web site today and learn more about how we vote in the United States of America… And be sure to get out and vote on November 2!
