Behavior was retained by National Geographic Channel (NGC), a popular television channel featuring non-fiction programming, to redesign and reimagine an online companion for their highly-acclaimed original shows.
Behavior drove the project with two core objectives: first, motivate viewer “tune-in” and second, cultivate fan enthusiasm. Through this framework we produced the industry’s most innovative TV schedule. Instead of simply displaying a boring table with static text, Behavior created an interactive, pictorial module that allows users to drag and slide through four weeks of scheduling.
The new site showcases every NGC program within its own mini-site, allowing fans to explore their favorite shows on a more intimate level. Each show’s site integrates hundreds of videos, photos and interactive features, using cutting edge browser technology to create a seamless user-experience without sacrificing valuable search engine optimization.
Behavior received a Gold Davey Award and a Silver Horizon Interactive Award for the redesign of National Geographic Channel.
